Abyss Deep Sound Lab, the half French, half Greek Australian producer, has announced the release of his latest single, “The L Train” on Disco Machine Records. This track showcases his unique blend of Soul and Disco from the 70s and 80s with modern sounds, resulting in a beautiful fusion of Lounge, Nu Disco, Disco House, and Deep House music.

Abyss Deep Sound Lab has been producing music in his studio for the past 12 years, but he only started releasing it to the world in 2022. In his first year, he collaborated twice with world-renowned Mijangos and produced some of the best Afro Latin tracks of the year, according to Traxsource. His passion lies in playing his own instruments and collaborating with like-minded musicians who share his love for Soul and Funky melodies.

“The L Train” is the product of one such collaboration. Abyss Deep Sound Lab produced the music for the track in early 2022, and the vocals were written, performed, and recorded almost a year later by Vikki Walker. The idea for the song came about when Paul Davis and Vikki Walker visited Abyss Deep Sound Lab to discuss musical ideas. Walker’s captivating performance of a song instantly caught their attention, and Abyss Deep Sound Lab knew that she was the perfect fit for “The L Train”.

The lyrics of “The L Train” tell a star-crossed love story that takes place on the L Train in Manhattan. To bring this story to life, Abyss Deep Sound Lab asked Davis to write lyrics, which were then recorded by Walker as a birthday present for the producer. The track features a variety of instruments, including raw congas, classical and electric pianos, groovy bass guitar, percussions, Afro Latin trumpets, and the captivating vocals of Vikki Walker.
